At BHTC, we're shooters first, and we want to remain shooters.

And we take range safety very seriously, and back that up with NRA Range Safety Officer credentials. Whether it's a match, a course, a clinic, or recreational shooting, we will apply the same common-sense based safety rules that extend from the NRA's basic three rules:
  1. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
  2. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
  3. Never load the firearm until you are ready to use it.

We add, incorporate and enforce all range safety rules at any facility we are teaching at. These may include:

  1. Do not handle firearms when people are downrange.
  2. Use of Empty Chamber indicators (chamber flags).
  3. Preferred muzzle orientation of each individual facility (muzzle up or down)
